TOOLS ANALYSIS

To be aware of the actual situation we analysed different tools for blind people. During this analysis we collect a lot of informations about different kind of tools. We did some interviews with the creators of this tools to better understand the real needs and the different steps of the design process they used to design their tools.

After this collective sensory explorations which made us aware of blindness, disabilities and accessibility problems, we had to use what we learned during this exploration to design a toolkit for a blind architect. For us it was really relevant to work on this topic because in architecture and during our studies we still communicate and represent our project through visual documents as sketches, plans, sections, renders, etc... But as we experimented during the sensory explorations, there is a lot of possibilities to represent the space without vision and this is a real issue because we saw a conference of Chris Downey an architect who became blind due to a disease so this is a real-life case.
